About me

Hi there, I'm Tom.

I’m a user experience and product design team leader with nearly two decades working in tech, primarily with B2B SaaS products. My roles have spanned complex enterprise-level work optimisation applications to mobile data capture.

Despite a roundabout path to UX leadership, making experiences better for users has been my primary focus in every role. My varied background provides a broad appreciation of software development, business trade-offs, and inter-team communication at every level of the business.

My more recent roles have combined my experience in strategic decision-making with my love for good design, and a growing enthusiasm for mentoring and talent development.

When I'm not working

I love my work, but it doesn't define me. When I've got some spare time, I like to keep things simple.

I find peace in drawing and digital art.

I write books which some day I hope I'm brave enough to attempt to publish.
I spend time in nature, walking in the hills around my village with my dog, Toby.
I make and refurbish furniture, and I'm always in the middle of the next renovation project for our dilapidated 1850s cottage (and former Post Office!)
